- Meals on Wheels: Meals on Wheels by ACC is a non-profit organization serving seniors 60 years of age and better throughout Sacramento County. Meals on Wheels helps keep seniors in their homes and communities by providing nutritious meals, safety net services, social contact, community resource information and much more. On average, over 2,000 seniors participate every weekday.
- Sowing Solidarity: In the context of an urban farm, Sowing Solidarity’s mission is to provide ecological education and raise awareness of social issues connected to poverty. Here is a video on Sowing Solidarity:
