Toward Koinonia (4 of 5)

Toward Koinonia is a five week series on Christian Community. Koinonia is an ancient Greek word for intimate community. In our first three weeks we explored Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s vision of Beloved Community, an interracial farm in Georgia in the 1940’s called Koinonia Farm, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s underground seminary during the rise of Hitler in Germany. This week’s message focuses on expressions of Koinonia in new United Methodist communities of faith throughout the country.
