We will celebrate All Saints’ Day in worship at The Table on October 31.
All Saints’ Day (November 1) and All Souls’ Day (November 2) are rooted in ancient feast days of the early Christian church. The earliest celebrations of All Saints & All Souls memorialized Christian martyrs during the season of Easter. Pope Gregory III connected these feast days to All Hallow’s Eve in the 8th Century and they have evolved to commemorate not just martyrs but all who faithfully departed. We will take time in worship this Sunday to remember those we have lost; particularly those who have died in global pandemic.
