Prayers of the People and Sunday’s Message

An audio recording of yesterday’s message from worship is now posted on The Table’s Podcast.  Listen here.

We pray in our weekly Kitchen Table gatherings for those places in our own lives and in the world that are in need of God’s healing, reconciliation, and hope. We also offer prayers of thanksgiving for the places that are experiencing redemption and new life.

You’re invited to share your prayers in the comments section below.

For prayer concerns, we hope you’ll follow the form of prayer inspired by O-So-So, the Korean song we’re using for our time of prayer in Lent:

For the challenges we experience in relationships, for the anxieties we feel about important tests & events in the coming days, and for people who are seeking employment.  Come, O Lord Jesus, reconcile your people.

For prayers of celebration:

For planting in the garden, for the warmth of the sun in Spring, for people who watch over us in love, for all forms of family.  God who is Grace, we give thanks.

For what else do the people of God pray?

    For health and health care.
    For uncovering the unknown.
    For unfair governments.
For Joelle Tucker, who was missing and is now found – but not alive. For her family and all who love her or would have.
Come, O Lord Jesus, Reconcile Your People

    For senioritis and graduation.
And for comfort in knowing that God has a plan for each of us.
God who is Grace, we give thanks.

For parents in the midst of hard parenting choices.
For friends who are re-evaluating God’s call for their life.
    For teachers
Come, O Lord Jesus, Reconcile Your People

For the sunshine and the newly planted vegetables
For our KT’s and the sense of rootedness it gives me, especially later in my week
God who is Grace, we give thanks.
