Prayers of the People

An audio recording of Sunday’s message from worship is now posted on The Table’s Podcast. Listen here.
Worship Rehearsal: Nicole with Anthony

We pray in our weekly Kitchen Table gatherings for those places in our own lives and in the world that are in need of God’s healing, reconciliation, and hope. We also offer prayers of thanksgiving for the places that are experiencing redemption and new life. You’re invited to share your prayers in the comments section below. For prayer concerns, we hope you’ll follow the form of prayer inspired by O-So-So, the Korean song we’re using for our time of prayer in Lent:

For people living with HIV/AIDS, for people struggling amidst conflict & war, for people recovering from disaster, for our failures to show our love consistently for those we love most. Come, O Lord Jesus, reconcile your people.

For prayers of celebration: For the birth of a new baby and for the journey of parenthood, for friends visiting from afar, for music which inspires and sustains, for growing deeper in self-awareness. God who is Grace, we give thanks.

For what else do the people of God pray?

Prayers for leaders everywhere, so that they will make thier decisions based on what is best for the people they represent, not thier own agenda.

For the courage to step out of our box and meet new people.
Come, O Lord Jesus, Reconcile your people.

For new friends and good friends…and for watching over each other in love. And tools to reach out – like Facebook. =)
God who is Grace, we give thanks.
