Toward Sunday

We conclude our three-week worship series this coming Sunday called A NEW YOU (in just 400,000 hours). The series invites reflection on practicing faith by rooting our lives in Grace, growing in faith, and reaching in love.
Think of a time when you were reaching in love.  What was the experience like for you?  What was difficult?  What was inspiring?  What surprised you?  What did you learn?
Our reading for this week is from Luke 19.1-10. Here is a link to the text.
We learn in this story that Zacchaeus was a wealthy tax collector.  He was short in stature, thus had to reach high into a tree to see as Jesus passed his way.  This new perspective may have allowed his life to be transformed.
Think of a time when your shift in perspective made space for transformation in your life.  How did you make space for the transformation?  What did you have to let go of?  What did you have to take on?  What was it like for you to “climb” to the new view?
