“Maintaining the communal practice of worshipping God..is one of the fundamental things that any local church does. When a church ceases to maintain worship, that church is essentially dead and is no longer rightly considered a church.”
( from A Blueprint for Discipleship by Kevin Watson p 83.)
How is worship where you are? How does the worship you attend excite you? How does the worship of your community lead your spirit to a quiet center? What about your worship challenges you? Do you look forward to worship? Why? Why not?
These are a lot of questions. Worship is different for everyone. 5 people in a worship experience can leave having 5 completely different experiences. They will tell you “The music here is what gives me goosebumps.” “The best thing we did today was light candles and pray.” “When we passed the offering plate I was crying a little bit.” It is not important that these experiences be the same. It is important to root your life in Grace by worshipping God in public. Period. Find a place to worship this week. We recommend The Table at 5265 H Street in Sacramento. Downbeat is 10:30. All are welcome.
