We are nearing the end our worship series Give Up Certainty for Lent: Live in the Parables of Jesus. This Sunday is Palm Sunday and our worship will be rooted in the parable of The Prodigal Son.

The following week, we will celebrate Holy Week with worship in the evening on both Thursday (April 17) and Friday (April 18). Maundy Thursday will be at 6-7:15pm in Fellowship Hall. This will be a family friendly service of music and prayer stations focused on Jesus’ Last Supper. We will serve a simple meal of soup and bread. Good Friday will be at 7pm in the Sanctuary. We will gather around the cross as we hear the story, pray and remember the crucifixion of Jesus. Please invite your Kitchen Table to attend and consider attending together.

This week our worship will be rooted in the parable of The Prodigal Son (Luke 15.11-32).

To the churches in my area, may God bless you, In the world today we learn of horrible things & we complain helplessly as we pass the messages on. We live in what seems to be a world of doom. So where are the solutions? There are solutions but… are they being intentionally silenced & hidden? Yes, we have solutions, but we have to stop being a ‘consumer only’ nation, waiting for everyone else to jump in to save us. “…that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10. Churches have been secretly, intentionally & slowly divided to their ruin… can you see it? Then they don’t know what to do so they try to stay safe… we all do. But aren’t we called to train up disciples in all nations? We can’t do this if we are afraid, silent & divided. “For whosoever will save their life shall lose it, and whosoever will lose his life for My sake shall find it.” Matthew 16:25. The unity of the church has untapped power in God, but He needs to hear from us… He needs us to be willing. America matters to God…. and it’s not just for us… the whole world depends on what happens to America. So in order to survive we need to unite and be the producers for God and country. It’s easier to save America now than it is to get it back once it’s gone. Think of our children and theirs. That was very helpful to hear on Sunday. Next would be helpful to repeat seminars in giving. We increase our donations each year and our taxes go up up up.
