We are in the fourth week of On Ramp. This is our five-week worship series imaginatively exploring central topics in Christian faith. We turn from God to Jesus this week in worship. We are drawing upon and adapting some of the framework of a series called Animate (Faith) by SparkHouse Publications as we prepare this worship series for our particular context.

▪August 2: Jesus (John 6.24-35)
▪August 9: Salvation (James 2.14-26)
Consider the emotions that are stirred within you when you hear the word Jesus? Who is Jesus to you?
Take time to read John 6.24-35
Mark Scandrette writes: “The kind of life that Jesus lived and invites us into is impossible. And maybe it is, apart from a source of love and power that’s greater than our own. But the only way we’re going to discover that love and power is by taking the risk to try and live into the impossibility of the gospel” (Animate Facilitator’s Guide, 36).
What risks are you currently taking to follow Jesus? What risk(s) might you want to consider into your future? What, if anything, about following Jesus feels impossible to you right now?
