This text is a stark & cautionary reminder about the challenges of following Jesus. Jesus is clear that the consequences of causing another to stumble in rooting their lives in Grace & growing in faith are far worse than self-maiming. Take some time this week to reflect on the stumbling blocks you have encountered in trying to follow Jesus. Who or what have placed stumbling blocks in your life? In what ways might you be placing stumbling blocks for others? In what ways might our church be placing stumbling blocks before others?
