Lillian Daniel is a pastor in Iowa. Her last book, When Spiritual But Not Religious Is Not Enough: Seeing God In Surprising Places, Even the Church is a provocative case for why religious community matters. Described as biting, hilarious, pitch perfect, tender and often stunningly beautiful, this much talked about book was featured on PBS and the New York Times.
Her new book Tired of Apologizing for a Church I Don’t Belong To: Spirituality Without Stereotypes, Religion Without Ranting explores the changing religious landscape, including the rising number of “Nones,” people who self-identify as having no religious preference.
Lillian will join us in the Fireside Room for an informal conversation & book signing at 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 2. The gathering will be followed by a simple meal. RSVP to Pastor Linda (linda (at) thetableumc.org) to help us plan for the meal.
