God of All Creation, we give thanks for those who are traveling this week in service to others, we celebrate those who are taking first steps on new journeys, we lift up with joy the times people are spending with friends and family on vacation. May our days and our lives be expressions of your love as we witness and as we reach. We pray as well for those who grieve the loss of loved ones, for those still searching for employment, for those in times of discernment about their future, for traveling mercies upon those reaching in love to the ends of the earth, and for children on year round calendars who begin a new grade this morning. We offer this in the hope and the power of the Risen Christ who comforts and sustains and transforms. Amen.

We, at the After Worship Kitchen Table, ask the people to pray:
For those who are traveling long distances and their safety while away.
For comfort in places that seem so foreign
And for the families having to deal with hardships that come along with cancer.
