DIY

Matt’s message introduces our new worship series, from DIY to renovation by Grace.  The message is rooted in Ephesians 2.19-22.  What is your foundation?  What is your cornerstone?  How might God be renovating your life?

Pentecost

Our celelbration of Pentecost is rooted in Acts 2.1-21 and the Afrobeat music of Fela Kuti and the hip hop of Agape (Dave Scherer).  How are you conspiring with God and your neighbors to transform the world?

Easter

Matt’s Easter message is rooted in Mark 16.1-8.  The recording includes selections from two of the songs from our 10:30 am worship gathering.  The opening song is Christ Is Risen by Brian Wren (arranged by Anthony Coleman II).  The closing song is Rise Up with lyrics by Agape (David Scherer)

Rooted in Grace

Matt’s message focuses on Ephesians 2.1-10.  Our journey toward a “new you” begins with rooting our lives in Grace.

Deep Commitment

Matt’s message is rooted in Matthew 22.34-46.  This is the final week of our series called Deep.  The worship series has invited our community to deepen our commitments in the following areas for the coming year:  rooted in Grace, growing in faith, and reaching in love.  This message invited our community into a time of communion and prayer and sharing our commitments.

Baptism

We celebrated four Baptisms in worship on Sunday, October 16.  Matt’s message invites reflection on the significance of Baptism and God’s invitation to practice our Baptism for all the days of our lives.

Rooted in Grace

Part II of Deep.  How might we root our lives in Grace in the coming year?  Matt’s message is centered in Philippians 2.1-13.

Measuring Depth

How do we measure the depth of our faith lives? How do measure our growth? Matt’s message is rooted in Matthew 20.1-16, the parable of the laborers in the field. What outputs do we measure in hopes of growing in faith? What are the outcomes we desire as we root your life in Grace, grow in faith, & reach in love? This is the first in a six-week series on deepening our faith lives as individuals and as a community.

September 11 Ten Years Later

Selections from worship on September 11, 2011.  Ten Years Later:  Grievance to Hope | Hatred to love.  The music team opens with a live version of Tears by Agape (Dave Scherer).  This song was woven throughout the worship.  Linda frames Psalm 119 with a brief reflection on 9/11 and Matt closes with selections from Psalm 119 from The Message.

Baptism

Matt invites reflection on the meaning of baptism and offers insights into how we might read Paul’s letter to the Galatians, specifically Galatians 3.23-29.  This is the first in a three-part sereis on Ekklesia.
